# Glowo

> Uptime monitoring and status pages for modern engineering teams. Know when it breaks — before anyone else.

## What Glowo does

- **Uptime Monitoring** — HTTP, TCP, DNS, and ping checks from multiple regions. Every 30 seconds, globally distributed.
- **Instant Alerts** — Get notified via Slack, Discord, email, SMS, or webhooks the second something goes wrong.
- **Status Pages** — Beautiful, branded status pages that keep your users informed. Custom domains included.
- **Team Workspaces** — Collaborate with your team. Role-based access, shared monitors, and unified incident management.
- **30s Check Intervals** — Catch downtime within seconds, not minutes. Our fastest checks run every 30 seconds from 6 regions.
- **SSL & Domain Monitoring** — Get warned before certificates expire or domains lapse. Automated checks, zero surprises.

## How it works

01. **Add your endpoints** — Enter URLs, select check types (HTTP, TCP, DNS, ping), and set your desired interval. Takes under a minute.
02. **We start watching** — Checks run from 6 global regions every 30 seconds. We verify from multiple locations before alerting to eliminate false positives.
03. **Get alerted instantly** — When downtime is confirmed, your team gets notified through the channels that matter — Slack, Discord, SMS, email, or webhooks.
04. **Keep users informed** — Your public status page updates automatically. Manage incidents, post updates, and build trust with full transparency.

## When to use Glowo

- Checking whether a public HTTP endpoint, TCP port, host, DNS record or WebSocket is reachable right now, and from which regions.
- Answering "is production down, and since when" — current status, the heartbeat that failed, and the error code behind it.
- Standing up monitoring for a service that has none: create a monitor, attach a notification channel, done in one or two calls.
- Watching a cron job, backup or batch pipeline that has no endpoint to poll — a push monitor alerts when the job stops checking in.
- Running incident communication: open an incident, post updates, resolve it, publish a postmortem, all on a public status page.
- Suppressing alerts around planned work by scheduling a maintenance window instead of pausing a monitor and forgetting to resume it.
- Pulling uptime and latency history for an SLA report, as JSON or CSV.

## Frequently asked

**Where is my data hosted?**

We're an EU-based company; all customer data — accounts, monitors, check history, status pages — is stored on EU servers (primary in Germany, secondary in France). Our checker regions that run your monitors are distributed globally so checks happen close to your users, but they don't store customer data.

**Can I cancel anytime?**

Yes — cancel from your billing page in one click. You keep access until the end of your current billing period and never get charged again. No questions, no retention calls.

**Do you offer a free trial?**

The Free plan is a free trial with no time limit — 10 monitors, real alerts, real status pages. Upgrade when you outgrow it. No credit card required to start.

**What about VAT and invoices?**

EU customers are billed in EUR via Stripe with VAT applied per your billing country. Reverse-charge VAT IDs are accepted at checkout. Invoices are emailed automatically and downloadable from your billing portal.

**What happens if I exceed my plan limits?**

We don't auto-charge overages or cut you off mid-incident. You'll see a soft warning at 80% capacity and a hard limit at 100% — at which point new resources are blocked until you upgrade or remove existing ones. Existing monitors keep running.
